Subject: so so
i dont know how the sound is on this show, i'm not going to DL it. i was there and wanted to coment on the show itself. before i do, i have seen moe 4 times. the first in saratoga at further where they ROCKED out a complete "thats it for the other one" with bob weir. that was amazing and most of the crowd was loving it as well. the second was at woodstock 99'. i thought they were one of the best bands to play that fest. i caught the show at brookhaven in 2002 when les and the frog brigade opened ( who was fantastic and comical as well ) and that show cooked. even though it was rained out after an intense jam and a wicked nasty thunder and lightning show. i think me and my amigo were the only 2 people up near the lawn and one of the band members comented that we almost got hit by lightning. at least thats what it sounded like he said. that was a great show. but this year i was falling asleep. i only live around the block from brookhaven and was happy that it was not far to travel to get home. i left in the middle of their set because my fiance and our friends were falling asleep standing up. the show had some good spots but for the most it was a very quiet and mellow show. i dont know what happened and why it was so down but to me the show was a sad example of one of the better jam bands on the scene. i'm sorry for the encyclopedia of info here, just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same about this show

Subject: I don't know
There are a lot of distracting audience interference on this recording. You can almost hear full conversations from the people standing next to the taper. I'm not sure if this would be worth burning to CD...

Notes

* with Chris Robinson and Rob Barraco

There were three very rude people standing in front of Jon Merin and myself at this show and they pretty much botched the whole first set. The second set is quite the opposite with audience noise so quiet you can almost hear a pin drop during some of the quiet moments.

in response to reviewer feellikeastranger:
You are quite right that this show is not a good example of moe.'s capabilities, and is very mellow. I can't explain it either.
